Thanks,

I managed to find time to make a couple of panels for the toe board so hopefully get the old one chopped out and repaired this week, a little surface rust on steel I had but a quick once over with a flap disc will sort it.
Hopefully my floor will be here for this weekend

Great project I have a mark 2 to do once I have finished my daughters very rusty 1988 Mayfair. I will be doing the same as you with the floor but at the moment hoping to keep the tunnel in and just do each side along with the sills. Good luck.

I thought about replacing it separately but then I realised the tunnel needed repairs as well and add in the fact it's been patched before has over sills and I have no idea if it's square then just chopping out the lot made sense and should be easier, same with boot floor really as the repair panels will take longer to fit and not be as good as a full floor,

Just had some good news m machine have my panels packed and ready for delivery so hopefully have plenty to do for a few weekends. Need to get toe board repaired ASAP now.

Had the day off work today as my delivery of parts came, really pleased with them

Also managed to finish cutting out toe board and other areas of concern then trial fitted the floor for fit. I was very pleased as it dropped straight in, will fit the rear subframe the weekend and check some dimensions, then hopefully trim my toe board repair panels to size and make a start in fitting the floor and door steps, depends how many problems I get along the way

I must add that it took a while for me to decide on best course of action but after seeing the full floor and the ease at which it is to fit its defo the best way to go on a restoration, the extra cost over buying the seperate parts are more than justified.

No pictures today as have no gas so can't weld anything, have tried the floor with rear subframe attached and made a few measurements and pleased that it's bang on square and straight, then spent rest of day making templates for the repairs to toeboard and rear bulkhead. I will do a little painting inside panels tomorrow, cut my repair pieces to size, then hopefully do some welding next week.
Was hoping to get more done but can't be helped.

Not much of an update to look at, but it's taken a lot of head scratching to rebuild the toe board as the bottom half was missing with my old floor pans, and I hadn't a clue what it should have been like. Had to fit and remove the floor about 4 times to get templates and check fit. Then to top it off ran out of gas. So finally I have managed to weld it in and grind most of the welds flush. Still have to fit the reinforcing plates but have them ready to fit after zinc primer has dried. Hopefully I might get a few easier jobs now.

Thanks for comments of encouragement

Today I managed to get the reinforcing plates welded to toe board and painted inside door steps and sill area of floor, so hopefully will have a go at fitting the floor properly next weekend.
First time I used my spot welder today and it is brilliant, in fact I was so impressed with it I am going to get some longer arms to enable me to use it more.
My spot welder is only supposed to do 1+1mm but it handled the 1.2+1.2mm of the toe board easily , only inconvenience is the weight of it, pretty sure when I do a lot my arms will ache.
