I had them custom made by Magnecor and they came with them already on.

Not a massive update. I really am just killing time until I get it mapped now.
I got the bumpers and grille back from the powder coaters.
I also got Chris at EFI-Parts to send me the new Adaptronic ECU so I could make sure it was mounted in a good position before I drop it off.
And lastly as I've had to sacrifice my fresh air scoops in the name of engine bay space I blanked off the air vents and remade the dash liner.

Oh my! A clubby interior looks so clean without the air vents! I want to copy this design. I really do love your mini.

Dash looks great, really tidy.
Makes me wonder if I should go ahead with a centre clock on mine or keep the standard two clock and neatly carpet it like yours.
Your custom gauge housing looks right at home too.

Thanks guys.
You'll notice I decided to fit a dual oil temp/pressure gauge in place of the boost gauge for now too.

I noticed the other day that the KAD calipers were hitting the corners of the adjustable tie bars on full lock at full droop so I swapped them for the round Smiffy's Bits stainless version. This still wasn't quite enough so I had to change my droop stops for a slightly taller version. All good now.
I also decided the shiny stainless rolled exhaust stuck out too far and was a bit too flashy for my standard look Clubman so I did a slash cut and took about 3" off it. Looks much better now.

Time for an update, just not the update I thought it'd be.
The car went to Chris at EFI-Parts last October to wire in the new ECU and get it mapped. Unfortunately it didn't go exactly to plan and it proved very difficult to get the fuel injected supercharger system running as smoothly as we both wanted it to.
Fair play to Chris he stuck with it and there were a lot of late nights, including swapping the Podifold manifold out with a revised version we had re-cast based on his suggestions.
However, as time went on the bill kept going up and in the end I had to cut my losses and made the decision to ditch the supercharger system and run with the Specialist Components injection kit I still had.
The alloy manifold from a Metro was used as it's slightly narrower, giving a bit more bulkhead clearance. It also comes with a vacuum take-off that I needed for the MAP sensor and has a bigger water heating jacket taking the larger bore 5/8" pipe.
Smaller Bosch 410cc "Green Giant" injectors were fitted as the ones supplied were deemed to be too big. The biggest change though was managing to incorporate an idle air control valve. This has massively improved the cold starting and general running of the car.
After mapping the car made 82bhp and 93lb/ft. which I'm really pleased with. More importantly though it drives fantastic - so smooth!
I'm disappointed not to have the supercharger, but as my daily driver this probably makes more sense. Fuel economy will be better, I can fit a brake servo and I can ditch the heavy twin plate RTS clutch that, even with servo assistance, gets on your nerves real quick when you're stuck in traffic.

That's such a smart and tidy installation. Tip of the cap sir

Is it 82bhp at the fly or wheels?
Do you have any long term plans to continue developing the injection podifold setup?

That's a shame mate. But I must say the low down torque on that graph looks excellent!

Great looking build, the power curve looks excellent for a road car. nice and smooth power delivery. You can always have another go with the supercharger at a later date, when funds allow.

That looks so smart Jon, very tidy, and a really nice power graph too. Forgive me for being a bit thick but what's the little K&N for?

Looking good as ever. What Ecu is it running now? You gone back to the SC one or something else?

The ECU is still the Adaptronic one recommended by Chris with a custom loom made by him specifically for this car. The loom is an absolute work of art and makes the one that comes with the SC kit look like a steaming pile of dog toffee in comparison.
Chris obviously suffers from the same OCD I do and it shows in his work and attention to detail. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone doing this kind of work on their own car. He's a gent and an absolute pleasure to work with.
The quoted power figure is at the fly as far as I know.

I have far too much time and money invested in the Podifold system to ditch it completely but right now I just need to shelve it and take another look at it some time in the future with fresh eyes.
Ideas have already been suggested to make it work but it would involve some massive alterations to the casting patterns or, more likely, staring again from scratch on a whole new set.

The smaller filter is for the inlet of the idle air control valve which the ECU opens and closes to let air directly into the manifold.
