Awesome car. What products did you use to get this shine? Looking good!Spent hours cleaning this up...noone washes cars these days and it takes me hours to remove all the tar and ground in dirt.
Washed..clayed..polishee..sealed.
Wheels cleaned and sealed also.
Glass cleaned inside and out.
Its half on a kerb and half on a dropped kerb so sitting weird.
Half the bonnnet was faded and still has strange marks on it.
Before
After
Not perfect but lots better.
Ive got to try and sort the cloudy headlights out..any tips? I was gonna wet and dry 1500/2000 and use rubbing compound to bring it back up

Awesome car. What products did you use to get this shine? Looking good!
Autoglym shampoo and conditioner
Clay - autoglym again.
G3 Professional range paint restorer (this is what gave the faded bonnet some shine back)
Autoglym extra gloss protection to seal.
Wheels cleaned with Autoglym wheel cleaner and sealed with Autoglym wheel sealer.
Big autoglym fan (mainly cause i buy it on 3 for 2 at halfords)
Im yet to try any other products..

Looks great, what a bargain. I've had two Rovers of the same ilk, a 45 Connoisseur & a 200SDi and loved them both. They have such bad press which leads to so many being abused and neglected, but mine hit huge mileages and were a lot of fun (I calculated the clocked SDi had done 250k based on previous MOTs). Good luck with it.

Im really liking it. First car ive had, in my 4years of driving, with electric windows. Actually its got everything ive never had...the radio even gets louder when you get to 30mph. Shame the sat nav is a small symbol on the unit you see in the photo. A £1000 option when new apparently.
I love me an MG Rover, prices are so low at the moment because of their reputation.
I only saw the cat after i put the pics on here...patiently waiting for its owner.
Ive decided im going to put a decent induction kit on it..BMC CDA i think. Not many exhausts available and they are 300/400 for catback. Going to get quote for a custom hopefully with sports cat. Those two things are supposed to really open the V6 up. Not yet though, a month or so.

I searched and some people suggested checking the pollen filter.

Think its abit dirty that...nice fresh one in there now, will hopefully improve it

Ive had a catback stainless system made up. Thinking about decat next. Also fitted open cone routed to inner wing (where original feed was)

I am thinking about getting the bodywork sorted out and want to eventually fit heated leathers and rear electric windows
Oh and i need to sort the gear linkage out..its abit sloppy common issue

Just done a similar thing with a TF, put a low bid in and got it, yours looks in much better nick though. I do like ZS's the V6 in them uses a fair bit of fuel but more than makes up for it in noise, nevermind the way it pulls haha. You definitely get a lot of car for your money with an MG/Rover providing your not scared to get your spanners out. Look into using a U/J from a steering rack on your gear linkage if you didn't already know.
