Got this up on stands tonight and did some basic checks. Also tried the 10 inch superslot wheel on the rear....hard to tell until the car is back on the ground.

Rear brakes look dry but gunns pull them apart and may fit new cylinders just to be safe.

Nice job, I love these cars. I think it's the cross between the Lego cars of my childhood and the the Mk3 Escort styling. There's a been a couple on Ebay over the last couple of years including one just down the road I was desperate for, until I was put back on the straight and narrow by my good lady. Hope it goes well.

Got a couple hrs spare today so decided to do some graft. Started removing front hubs to sort balljoints etc and get ready for the 7,5" brake setup coming.
Found the NSF grease wasnt the CV boot, but the wheel bearing...this was the state of it
Luckily I had a front wheel bearing kit so replaced the bearing after packing well with grease.
Drivers side looked ok, so stripped cleaned and regreased
Cleaned the grease from the CV and the boot and left it there until the brakes turn up.
Drivers side top balljoint nut was turning, the locking washer hadnt been knocked over properly.

Also stripped rear brakes....drums look good, shoes are virtually new, wheel cylinders virtually new and dry. All adjusters work fine. Bearings a little rough sounding but spin ok, may replace at some point. Rebuilt and adjusted up the shoes for now.

Greased radius arms, OSR fine, but NSR still had play so stripped it off to get a recon arm.
Stuff to do:
Tiebar bushes (awaiting del of bushes)
Build up front hubs and brakes (awaiting 7.5" brake kit, balljoints and TREs)
Replace radius arm
Renew both rear wheel bearings
Renew both front shock absorbers
That should be enough to see the steering and suspension sorted, so it can be back on its wheels.
Should be able to get a recon arm, BJ kit, TRE's and shocks through work, so hopefully get those mid week as im not back in while tuesday.
