New to the mini world, but I'm worried about it getting broken into. My first thought was a steering lock any recommendations??
Any other ideas for deterrents you would recommend?
Thank you.

Over the years I have seen more of these removed within seconds. They are next to useless to a criminal. I'd invest in a good alarm, something that is going to make a lot of noise if the car is disturbed.

A steering lock is a good deterrent, as its visual and would put off low level car thieves and joyriders. The Disklok version is highly rated and I use one on my SPi.

An alarm is also just a deterrent, but a worthy one. Basically the more deterrents, the better.

Remember the steering wheel rim can often just be thin metal rings that can be cut through easily.

The discloc stops this.

But as above as many things the better.

Locking wheel nuts.

And a wheel clamp.

I plan on wiring a switch to the feed of my coil and putting the switch in a discreet place so it will not start, same sort of thing though;)

Disklok, the best security deterrent. No batteries to fail and can move it from mini to mini. I've used One for 18 yrs on my minis.

Thank you for all the comments. Will invest in a disklok and the other deterrents to follow :)
