is that bit of sound deadening on the engine bulkhead really needed?
mines gone all scanky and i dont think it makes much difference anyway..

It tends to hold water too and help in the rotting process of the bulk head... Get rid of it

It will be slightly louder, but nothing to loud. You could always buy a new bit from one of the specialists.

i don't mind
its funny though, if I put my hand anywhere around my speedo i can feel the heat from the engine.
I'm working on making some more cooling area for the engine. I almost overheated the other day!

:wales: I haven't got any soundproofing in my mini, or carpets either. It does make a slight difference to the noise and the heat off the turbo is more noticable, be great in the winter though :grin:

took mine out and replaced it with some thin sticky sound deading, will post a pic up latr, looks ok.....
