Hi;

I have just re-assembled my Rear Backplates and Brakes but without a picture or guide to go by I think I have them wrong.

1. Do the springs go under the Brake Shoes?

2. Which Spring fits where and in what hole?

I found this guide and it would appear that the shoes are fitted in a non symmetrical manner, I did mine symmetrically :-(

Just checking that the guide I linked is correct.

The Haynes manual is pretty naff when it comes to detail :-)

The picture you have is correct, probably looks slightly twisted as it looks like the shoes have not been centred

Just like that guide show. Brake shoes have leading and trailing edges so none symmetrical.

Thanks everyone, I had built them wrong, so apart the came and then back together again, a wasted hour or so :-)

Here they are done, this time correctly:
