I got the Mann one from a local shop. W713/28. It seems to be working fine, but I'll keep an eye on it. Now to try and track down an air filter...

I have a 2000mpi. Halfords recommend HOF 213 for mine too. Never had any problems fitting it. Maybe the filter was faulty? I'm sure they are made in their thousands so not surprising if one gets a dodgy thread now and then

I have had three filters now all incorrect. The current oil filter I have is a z917 cooper. All the filters that I have the thread hole is to small. Does anyone know the correct replacement from euro carp parts.

Have you tried the Mann one: W713/28?

Well it works for my 2000 mpi, so I would imagine you'll be ok. The Halfords HF203 is too small for mine, but the Mann works.

It all sounds a bit hit and miss doesn't it
 
I would have ordered from Minispares, but I live in France and was only over for a weekend, so Halfords was the obvious place to go. I've got a Unipart one on there at the moment, so I'll try and track one of them down here if France as none of the Halfords equivalents stock filters for anything other than older minis.
