Right had a bit of time this week and managed to do a little bit more. I am aiming to get this finished within the next two weeks.
Fitted some side repeaters as the indent looked daft in the sports pack arches without them.
Fitted some interior door handles so I can open the doors from the inside now. :closed:
Put some wire straps on the fibreglass front to stop it smashing the head lights.
Made a new front loom for the lights/indicators just to tidy things up. Also I must mention there is no left/right circuits for the lights, few ounces of copper saved there.

Still need to tidy wiring up for dash.
Fitted some eyeball vents to the dash and it still looks bare. Maybe it will look ok when I flock it.
I just get the feeling it needs something else.

I need some ideas on the bonnet badge. I have tried the cooper wings and they don't look right.
R1 badge held on with chewing gum for ideas. Maybe R1 at the side and a zcars logo of some sort in the middle ?

Steering wheel is near completion. Green are indicators, latching no relay required.
Blue is high beam also latching, requires a relay.
Red is the horn, momentary, requires a relay.

The cable is 15 core for any future mods. Yellow relays taken from the original loom.
The switches took a lot of finding being only 16mm long but they are ideal for this sort of application.
Everything is finished in heat shrink sleeving.

The relays on all the machines at work have 5 pin relays. the 2 solenoid pins then an option for n/o or nc from the remander of the 3 other pins, they should be availible anywhere buddy

Thanks Ady, Interesting mod on your clutch.

JB. You are making things to complicated I fell in the same boat.
The 3 wires for the indicators that go to the stalk are very low amperage my switches are 0.25 watt rated.
To trigger the flasher relay you only need to apply a slight resistance not switched voltage, if you know what I mean.
Just put a meter across the green/white and green/brown to see how many amps.

While on the subject of electronics I have sorted the reverse with the engine still running thing.

Just wish I could do flocking >_<

Buttons and a solenoid I think or maybe a rev limiter with a output to change gear at max power and make it automatic. >_<

AMAZING!!!

Just read throught the entire thread tonight, and am amazed lol. Love the positon of the fuel filler cap, great thinking.

Think you should stick the R1 badge on the left of the bonnet (right when you face the bonnet, let when your driving it)

Keep up the good work.
