I am hoping for a 50% reduction on noise as this is a road going car after all. Dont realy fancy me and the g/f sitting at the lights with a set of coms on. Done a 70 mile trip in the summer and me head was ringing with the noise. Ear plugs are no good either not when your listening for nuts and bolts comming loose and things falling off :'(

The rear hood hooks on at the front and will be held down at the rear with bonnet pins.
The hood is easily removed for track days and side windows opened for some cool air.

Decided the head lining looks absolutely dreadful so I changed it. It was also splattered with grease when I lost the grease nipple from the diff travelling at speed.

Fasteners on the side of the flip front are 6 x dzus onto the A panels. And the hinges are a top secret
Heaters are available from car builder solutions (like 12v hair dryers).

The sound proofing is absolutely amazing, I was hoping for a 50% reduction in noise and think I got more.
The only noise I get now seems to come from outside the car.
I also found time to look at the reverse staling problem, with a few surprises.
A large capacitor was fitted with + and - connectors. The cap is fed via a 6 amp diode from the +ve side of the battery (the diode being like a one way valve). So if the battery had a sudden voltage drop the cap would store 12 volts for a period of time.
The cap then supplies power to the ECU/ignition sys/injection sys.
After wiring every thing up I put it to the test. Set the idle @ 1800 revs to start with, hit the reverse and guess what? it stalled just like it did in the first place.
Out with the meter.
1 Test voltage on battery and note voltage drop when hitting reverse. Voltage drops down to 3 volts then rises to 9/10 within a second.
2 Test amps used by ecu/injection/ignition. Only 2 amps. Thought it would have been more.
3 Test voltage to ecu/injector sys/ignition while hitting reverse. Hey it stays 12v. So something works.
Going to wire the fuel pump to a separate battery tomorrow and see if the problem lies there.
Some pics off the mobile phone.

Final decision I now have a motor bike battery running the engine and fuel pump. And a mini battery for reverse, lights etc and starting.
I can now do a 3 point turn without cutting the engine and it don't sound like a tram when the engines running.
Back on with the build.
