I've been advised that the vacuum pipes/hoses with their 90 degree elbows are a weak point on the SPi.

Would replacing them with the silicone vacuum pipe that I have used on my Saab turbo which is available in small diameter help cure the problem at all or are these pipes no good ?

I've used silicone hoses for my vacuum lines for over a year now with no issues

Excellent, any idea what internal diameter I need to order and I'll send off for some ?

If you are going this route, be sure to get thick wall tube so they don't collapse under vacuum & block the MAP sensor reading...

I too am using silicone tubing and it is VERY important to get the right stuff. I was given what I am using and dont have the size but I believe this was just discussed recently and I'm sure someone will come along soon.

I'm using silicone hoses - 4mm internal diameter from manifold to fuel trap, 3mm ID from fuel trap to ECU - seems to work fine so far! If anyone has recommendations for the best brand/type to use I'd be grateful to hear them!

I think I used 3mm for all hoses as they stretch anyway and are a tight fit
