Hi all got my hands on a Austin mini Mayfair rolling shell for a bargain price I need to apply for the logbook but I am unsure what to do with it I do really wAnt to take up racing and build a racing one to use. But the shell is that good with only minor rust and 45'000 miles on the clock it makes me want to restore it. Here is some pictures for you all what would you do? I am feeling the racing but I do like restoring them. It's a tuff decision😗 D0BC9BEA-C038-41A8-8199-C8F5A45C742A_zps07C3FEC1-B4A3-4C31-BBDD-C1F9509F3467_zps61C31703-9D0D-4DA5-9164-3CE0EF32E4B9_zpsA54A2F8A-ED3E-4451-B147-F3F5F1D8DC9E_zps21241780-6E56-4689-8F34-ECBF6CF6DED5_zps16CC6584-CAB0-4B19-97F9-307C041F07F7_zps

I think with a shell like that I would look at restoring it as standard as there aren't that many in a standard condition. However it is your car so do what you fancy

If you have all the interior trim and seats, exterior trim come to think of it, basically all the bits to rebuild as a factory fresh Mayfair then do that as clean original standard cars are getting rarer and stand to go up more in value.

Failing that if you just have the shell then racer it is.

What would you wish to achieve by making it look like a boy racer? Apart from drawing cops attention

hi Haynes I don't have the seats and etc I could probably find a set on eBay or something. I think I'm going to race it as I have always wanted to do it and it was a bargain in the first place.
