Why would it be unwise? Its the flag of this country and has been (and still is) a feature on many cars on the road - if you want to have it then go ahead. The only way that I would say not to is if you genuinely believe it may be targeted/vandalised in your community?

Mate, stuff em, I served 27 yrs in the Army - we were always a target of one terrorist group or another. Life is too short to worry about how others feel about perfectly legal signs of patriotism!

I must point out I a very round of our flag ! And that's exactly why I'm putting one on my car!! I'm not worried wether others are offended to be honest ... This is GB ... I'm just a little worried I could make it a target .....
I've not heard of any cars being targeted because of the union jack, but there are some idiots out there for sure

It's been done to death on mini roofs that many times even ISIS are bored of it anyway, lol.

I've got one and never, ever had any problems. Generally, people are proud of the flag. It's only a small minority of haters out there - don't believe ALL the media tells you. Drive through central London and you'll be surrounded by tourists taking photos. My concern was when I took the car to France, but everywhere I went, people loved it. It's a Mini. And It's British. Go for it

As others have said: if you want it - just do it. It's your car after all and stuff anyone who doesn't like it.
