I hate welding! Bit done, loads to do.
Cage supports and reinforcements are marked out and cut. Floor pan on N/S is repaired to the best of my ability. Wishbone rear mount is extra reinforced too.
Sorted out my clearance issue with the TBs and servo by removing the ITG filter and backplate. I can still run the 40mm spacers and the long trumpets if I just use filter socks.
Mk3 GSI rear beam is refurbished and ready to fit. Just waiting on the steel and some laser cut plates to do the rear turrets and turret struts.
Should look pretty epic when it's sorted and will be very, very solid.
Need to decide whether to get the front legs modded to run coilovers. It's a 800 quid mod (including the Gaz golds). Adjustable wishbones and top mounts are another 800...so it's big money but it'll mean I've got fully adjustable geometry for the front. I think it'll be a case of getting it on the road as it is, then adding them at a later date.

Trying to beat my Astra on the 1/4 mile still?

I've picked up my rear beam now. Quick bit of reinforcing needed on the lower damper mounts (which will now become the coilover bottom mounts). Not 100% certain it's required but for the sake of welding a strip of 2mm steel on around the bracket, I might as well.

4" CDS tube to turret the rear arches.
32mm CDS tube to strut between them.
Pair of M10 hemispherical cups and washers to weld in as top mounts.
Laser cut plates to fit to the turrets and also some shear website to go between the turrets and 32mm dia strut.
