Hi all,

I have a Mini Cooper 2004 convertible and have a problem with the roof.

When we try to fold the roof the passenger side does not come out of its hole. After inspecting the usual things like the parcel shelf etc, i can't see any faults

However when you push the arm up out of the hole the roof folds back perfectly. After further inpection there is a pin with a rubber cover and thread that screws inside the end of the arm which was loose, we have tried to screw this part back into the arm but will not screw all the way up and comes loose again after operation.

Could this be the cause of the problem and how would i fix this...?

Thanks

paul

Hi paul24dual,

This forum is more focused on the 'classic' mini (pre BMW).  Someone may have an answer, but you are probably better off asking the question on the Mini2 forum at the link below.
