I'm just glad I knocked money off when I bought it. It'll be well worth it in terms of strength, looks and resale should I ever want to sell.Looking excellent. Shame that rott was hiding in there.
Love the colour, engine etc! Love it.

Close up of some holes:
Basically this will be cut out, flutes made and a nice straight edge formed. This should be much stronger, look way better and provide a nice line when the raptor is laid down.

Other side:
Thankfully the loadbed has no repairs or damage. So is in the process of being rubbed back:

I'm taking this opportunity to reroute the fuel hose under the car. Along with relocating the pump and filter somewhere around the beam. I think this is a good idea, but would love to hear your thoughts (good or bad).

I've also bought a fresh oil relief plunger and spring, as I've a feeling the current one sticks (sometimes displays erratic oil pressure). I've also decided to install an oil temperature gauge, so DSN delivered me a few goodies today:
The oil filter head is tapped with a M10 thread, I've also got one of their 1/8th adapters to suit the gauge I've picked. It's a real work of art:

I'm planning to plumb this in temporarily until I can get a Rokee style dash, but more on the plans for that later. The gauge comes with a solid state sensor and can be set to certain colours depending on different parameters. So blue for too cold and red for too hot is what I'm thinking.
This will mean water temp, oil pressure, oil temp, volts and revs are all sorted. I'm thinking perhaps fuel pressure and a clock to finish is all off. Unless I'm missing any other useful gauges?

The edges have been sprayed black:
Fuel lines run: filter and pump now lives here:
I bought some neat Goodridge finishers for the fuel line:

Like the idea with the different colours for the oil temp. A vacuum gauge is good if you want a needle that moves a bit more than the others
Loving it!
