I think it suits the car. It's also a tad bigger than the old wheel, which makes it more drivable. Just need to hook up the horn to the centre button now (also tempted to have an Austin badge made for the centre).that wheel looks amazing.

They were pretty dirty due to their age:
I cleaned them up with some Vanish and a scrubbing brush. Finishing up with a magic sponge and some 400 grit wet and dry on the rust stained hinges.
Ready to screw in:
Great result and so much cheaper than buying new.

Just have to clean up that rusty clutch thingy. I also trial fitted my new wiper bracket:
In prep for the working wiper motor that I've nearly finished buffing (will post when complete):

Full bay:
Not sure what I'll do next in the bay. Sorting the bulkhead box and painting it the right colour could be on the cards. It really needs a good hose down and detail to get rid of oil from the old leak.
Also plan on some Smiffy's Bits to tidy up some areas (Suspension Turret bolts etc).

That certainly makes a difference - great job with the polishing.

Cheers. Was quite a satisfying, but time consuming, process. That certainly makes a difference - great job with the polishing.
Not that anyone asked but I basically:
1. Sprayed it down with degreaser. Then scrubbed it cleanish followed by Auto Finesse iron out
2. Bought a polishing wheel kit from the polishing shop. This came with four mops, ranging from very course to fine, along with accompanying compounds.
3. Jerry-rigged up a power drill in a vice and used the above
4. Finished off with a quick Tripple Polish (Auto Finesse) and fitted.
It's not a perfect finish as it was pretty dirty, but I'm happy with the result.

Saves me from asking how you did it. Thanks.
