Hi there.

I am about to mate the gearbox casing to the crankcase and will need some definate torque settings as I am seeing different settings depending what site or post I search.

The engine is a 1330 a+

The flywheel bolt, I have seen settings from 112 to 150 lbs ft

I was thinking more on the 150 side of things?

the bolts for the flywheel casing 18?

Any others appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you checked the pinned topic:

I'm pretty sure that with 37,000 views, if it had any major errors, they would have been corrected by now.

OK - Factory Info says 115 ft / lbs.

I never use less than 150 ft / lbs, I also use a light machine oil on the taper.

That is bad practice, greasing a thread increases the tensile load on the fixing for a given torque.
Standard torque, dry thread, is best practice. There really is no need to over torque.
If you want belt and braces then a smear of loctite would be better.
