It's a GT17, apparently they are good on the 1275 A series and the Micra engine is the same bore & stroke so it should work well.

I seem to remember these being advertised with coilover spaxes on the back when new ...These were real quality kits, much better made than the mini marcos's they were sort of based on.
It will fly with the Micra lump in it.

I'm not going crazy with the engine but I guess 140-150bhp will be the final result, which should be plenty fast enough

Pretty much finished the electonic speedo code. Just need to get it mounted in the clocks. Although I'm thinking of changing to oled rather than LCD screens
Managed to get an hour out the garage today so I stripped down the rear radius arms, nothing special to report other than the pins and bushes seem to be new :) one worrying thing was both hub nuts where finger tight ( a strong breeze could have undone them) at first I thought they have just been nipped up to get the wheels on etc to push the car around but both had split pins in :-S
A bit of paint and the arms can go back together, although new wheel cylinders and shoes will be required as this is what I found when I took the drums off
I'll probably take the opportunity to fit some minifins at the same time.

The Midas uses Coilovers so there is no need for the knuckle joint cup and surrounding casting, so off it came.

Then things escalated and I ended up getting the flap disk out

Hopefully mini spares will have a January sale and I can get all the required parts to build it all back up.

Hi,
You might want to weld from inside where you have flange nuts.
Log style manifold works quite well so I'm keen to find out what Micra enige can take with std internals.
Cheers

Atchi ... Shouldn't you be looking at G13b threads? Dom

Work came to a halt on the manifold as I've decided to buy a Tig welder

The floor has been cleaned up and so far one half has been stone chipped, the other half will be done tomorrow...

Also Ive bought a small vw intercooler, which will be located behind an unused air duct

Decided that there wasn't enough surface area so I cut out the duct.
