I have found that my standard S setup just fades after a couple of laps, and that's running a 16v turbo setup.

Ive have read that the KAD 6 pots with 8.4" vented discs will fit under some of the force rims, I have yet to try it, but this is the route I am looking of going.

Force's 10" wheels will fit the 7.9" brakes but not the 8.4", obviously their 12" wheels will fit the 8.4 brakes.

Depending on the inner rim width you may be able to run the wheels next to the 8.4 brakes.

4.5"x10 Cooper S steel wheels with 7.5" brakes, what size wheel spacer would I need to fit to fit it over alloy calipers?

Thank you for everyone's input so far

You don't say what calipers if correct you will not need any.

I Would now like to use Twinkam monoblock 7.5" alloy 4 pots.

I'm assuming they are the same size as minisport 7.5" alloy calipers but just manufacturered from a single piece of alloy.

This has gone on quite a bit.

I think you need to prioritise whether it's aesthetics you want to focus on, or performance. I know both are important to some people, but if you want the performance of very big brakes, then you might have to sacrifice the aesthetics of small wheels... If you're talking about a rally car, then there is benefit to having smaller wheels/higher tyre profile.

If you are indeed aiming at a track day car, then is it purely the aesthetics of small wheels that you want? Surely a bigger wider wheel, with lower profile tyres (hence less tyre roll) is going to benefit you more on a smooth tarmac surface...

Just my 2p's worth.

I threw a set of 12" wheels on my "track day" car that I always run 10" on to try it out.  I only did one run....couldn't get the 10" back on quick enough....
On a MINI, the 10's are much better (IMO)  that is .. 165's

How much does the 7.5" setup sit out from the ball joint centre; I have the 8.4" setup atm so can measure that but just wondering what difference there is?

I've recently converted to discs (7.5). The minispares flanges do not sit properly on my Dunlop d1 reproduction wheels. Whatever you get, make sure they sit on your flanges.

Hi I've had dealings with this company Az-Tech Ltd who make 4 pot alloy calipers, I bought these to fit under 10" cooper s reverse rims and they do not fit along with the Mamba wheels due to the internal offset. I returned the calipers no problem.

I now have the Weller 10 x 5" steel wheels and Kev at Az-Tech is brilliant he sent me a blank caliper and spacers to get the correct alignment on the discs.(he makes the Minispares calipers) so when I'm ready I will be buying these as the quality and service is excellent.

Looking at these wheels, I know they will fit over the 7.5" discs with 4 pot ally calipers but would they fit archless with either 145 or 165 tyres?

I wonder if they work out lighter than the alloy 4 pots.
Thank you grizzler
