Has anyone been able to get a replacement belt for the timing belt conversion that minispares now very helpfully no longer support?

I'd be interested in this too, think I have a Minispares belt drive setup.

Naughty of them, I thought they sourced a new supplier in Italy a while ago ???
SH Engineering have 'em listed on their site for £29 a pop. Dunno if they are compatible with the Minispares kit, but seems likely.

I called minispares earlier this afternoon and got the normal standard of customer service!
Just sent an email to SH, fingers crossed.
If you get stuck, I know a company that does hundreds of drive belts in all sorts of profiles and length so may be able to help.
Thanks, I have been trying everything I can think of this afternoon and apparently gates do an industrial belt which is compatible but no one seems to be able to get the industrial side of gates stuff.

It's a 52 tooth belt 19mm wide.
SH's site mentions Gates. My (Minispares) spare is marked Pirellli Isoran 52 R 190. Googling chucks up loads of Isoran R190's and the 52 would relate to the number of teeth.

It is indeed, and square profile teeth, the kits you can buy now from other places all seem to use another belt with rounded profile and is totally different.

I found that as well, I fear it is going to take longer than I can afford to arrive from the US though, got two weeks until the IMM and I need to re-build this engine.

Just found a spare, spare belt. Yours if you want to risk it, unknown mileage and been sat a while.

Just had an email back from SH and as soon as it became known he had them they all flew out, bugger! Hmm, I might well take you up on that, I just need this engine to get me to Lithuania for the IMM and back again, at least I could carry yours as a spare with me, thanks. Will get in touch if it comes to that.

Mini Mania in the US had Kevlar Belts, while I haven't looked recently, I'm sure they still have them. No one else I looked at had the Kevlar ones.
Yeap, just looked, still have them;-

If it's a known profile then it could be worth giving Transdev a ring (the guy I deal with is called Brian and knows his stuff on belts) as they supply thousands of different profiles and lengths and can match most things.

Clive, thanks for the suggestion about Transdev.
I'm running a couple of these Minispares belt drives, with one the belt is almost 30 years old and the other is 20 years. They have not racked up a large mileage, but I will need to change them...

It does seem to be the same as most cam belts, just shorter.
