Hi Folks. Recently converted to 10's with a nice set of GB 10x6 alloys. Discovered yesterday that one of them, which I have on the back left, has a slight buckle. I have been using the car and I don't notice any vibration off it, even on the motorway. It is a buckle of the outer rim, and there is no visible sign of impact, if you see the wheel off the car you can't see anything, just when you spin it then you can see it.

It is giving me a couple of mm run out, mainly at the outer edge of the tyre. Very hard to get hold of a replacement wheel (I can't find one anywhere). Wondering what to do about it or if just to run with it? It is balanced, and only took 10g to do so. Here is  a video of it spinning. The bend is near the valve area:

My Ultralites have slight buckle, I don't think it's a major problem unless you notice vibration or premature wear of parts.

I'm just assuming here, I don't know for sure.

All four wheels on my CC are slightly buckled and have no issues. You can get them repaired as I had a wheel straightened on one of my old Passats. You need to find a wheel refurbisher a proper one who should have the equipment to do it with.

If it's balanced I would be relaxed about it.
I bought a Scirocco some years ago and it had vibration that I couldn't get rid of at the back.
Took it too my tyre balancing place and the guy told me he couldn't get it properly balanced, it had vertical throw on the two fronts ; turned out to have had an off road experience.

Thanks guys.FS - you were behind me for a while last weekend, I take it you didn't notice the wheel looking odd? Mind you, we were kind of flinging ourselves through bends, you were probably trying to hold on for dear life rather than look at my wheels!

I take it at least though that nobody watched the video and went "oh my god.."  O_O
