I think it would depend on the manifold being used, i.e. custom made, or bought pre-made (and not made for a mini).

Ok, Ive spent a few hours stripping Nancy out. Everything i could possibly think of has come out, apart from things needed to give her 1275 a last run when guywithvan comes to see it (hopefully soon).

The only problem ive come across today is the door hinges. Some numpty has put them on and rounded the heads off all the fasteners! So Im thinking about just getting the grinder out and cutting through the hinges, unless someone has a pear of wisdom? I dont think there is enough room to drill the fasteners out.

Also, with the front and rear glass, is it just a case of easing back the seals and the windows should come free?

By the sound of it your trying to undo the big screw heads inbetween the door and a panel? If you look from under the wheel arch you'll see four small bolts holding the complete hinge that are alot easyer to undo than the screws. Just remeber to keep the correct spacer setup when removed.

As for the windows remove the chrome strip from the centre(should just pull out) Then gently from the inside push the window from one of the corners. Have someone on the outside to steady/catch the glass as it come free. I usually use my foot to push the glass but i usually have seats in the car.

Yea, with those bolts under the wheel arch, they are in the perfect place to pick up crud flicked from the wheels, so coat them in Plusgas, or similar, for several hours at least otherwise the likelyhood is that they'll snap.

Never had to much bother with them to be honest! only ever snaped two and they were on the same hinge. And i've removed lots of doors in my time :w00t:

Welll..... She's stripped as far as she can be atm. Im waiting on guywithvan to come over and look at her a-series before that comes out. Im gonna go to Honda tomorrow to get some rings and shells.

So next week, after pulling the a-series, Ill be putting my engine back together whilst waiting for my cage to arrive.
