Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get blanking grommets for the oval shaped heater hose bulkhead holes? If not any ingenuous solution for blocking these up (without welding, I want to to be able to return to standard later)?

Cheers,

George

I've already tried minispares. They list this http://www.minispare...ic/CLP6235.aspx, but not a blank (i.e. with no hole) grommet. These aren't nice round holes, they're elongated, so a generic rubber grommet won't do :-(

SCparts list a lot of grommets but very little in the way of pictures.

They list the correct grommet, but not a blanking one. http://www.scparts.co.uk/sc_en/grommet-252628.html

None of those will work. Here's a pic I found that shows the same holes http://s12.photobuck...rboBox.jpg.html

Mmm found the bulkhead panel listed on Minispares so it may pay you to pm simon@minispares to see if he can help you out.

No worries.

Some Round Grommets will happily deform to in to holes like that, being a larger hole is on your side in trying this. You'll want a soft quality grommet to do this.

One last idea, if you can't find what you're after and would like to retain a grommet is to punch the hole round and fit a round grommet.
