Hi Al,
No its no problem I'm glad to help
Ive just been out again and turned the shell so the roof edge is at the top. I was able to measure through the floorpan (as its not there
) and this gave a vertical measurement of 1.950m from the floor. I'd allow at least another 50mm for headroom clearance though if I were you.
My shell wont spin under the door motor, but it clears when its just to one side so I can work with it like that, and can also move it out the garage and put it back in the other way so I can work on the other side too.
The total length of the jig including the castor beam is 4.430m on mine.
If you need anything else, or want some photos etc just let me know.
Stu.
Hi Stu,
Could I trouble you for a little more help please....
I did eventually order one of these along with the castors but it did not arrive complete, I'm missing the nuts and bolts for the castor kit (all of the bolts; for the castors to attach to the legs, for the bracing that runs between the legs at both front and back and for the long central bracing are missing).
It seems pretty clear to me what size bolts I need for the bracing but I'm not sure about the castors (certainly none of the other bolts in the kit are suitable), so I wondered if you knew what size those 8 bolts are, I assume that it uses nyloc nuts as per the other fastenings too?
I've tried calling, email and texting David but I am getting no response whatsoever, he did respond to an email I sent enquiring about lead times when I first ordered so I know he gets emails and I can see that my text has been delivered as it is an iMessage text, I also know the phone number is correct as I've called it but can't get an answer and his voicemail message says don't leave a message as he won't reply but to send a text or email instead. Extremely annoying given I've spent over £500 on this thing!
by the way I decided that there are too many red and grey ones out there so decided to paint mine yellow, regretting it though, it's consuming lots of paint, should have just whacked a couple of coats of zinc primer on it :-D
