first thing I need to know from someone is

I have in there now fairly new NGK iridium plugs non resistive

the brisk  are resistive

my leads are resistive

now when I have put in NGK R plugs before

there didn't seem to have as much performance

as non R

Why is that

so don't know what the Brisk will be like

Resistive shouldn't make a real difference really :P

what as with resistor leads as well

I saw a video on youtube it showed resistor not as good ??

Yeah, and they'll probably claim that on a old engien with an old ignition system?

Reistor plugs ask a bit more voltage to jump the gap ( as there is a resistor built in). A good mini ignition will never suffer from problems with that ;)

well drove the mini with the Brisk R type plugs in

car didn't like it as if someone had retard the ignition

no strong pull to it

thought this might happen as when put some ngk R in didn't like it

yet my mate with his mpi put my brisk plugs in and says goes well so he bought

them off me

what I normally use is the bp7es

Use standard( non resistive) leads,

I think I did explain this before but with words, which isn't the best way to describe it, I think most of us 'think in pictures'.

OK, so, Think of the Energy stored in your Coil (waiting to Spark) as the Water in a Bucket

HT%20Resistance%20Sketch_zpssin1w5yq.jpg

(Excuse the crude graphics, I am not a drawer!)

If we have too much Resistance to the Water flowing out of the bottom of the Bucket, it will take forever but also won't have much pressure behind it.

It we don't have enough Resistance to the Water flowing out of the bottom of the Bucket, it will all be out in a split second.

If we have just the right Resistance to the Water flowing out of the bottom of the Bucket, it will take the time we would like to to.

So it is fairly similar to the Resistance in the HT Circuit.

Too Much Resistance (ie Leads and Plugs) and there won't be enough 'HT" to make a decent Spark

Not Enough Resistance and it will flash and extinguish even before the fuel molecules will see it (not really, but almost!)

Just the right Resistance and it will 'Spark' for just the right amount of time without wasting energy

Like your 'theory' mister moke :)
Learnt something today :) Without resistive leads or should run great (mine does anyway, with a high energy simonbbc unit)

With previous experience, multi spark plugs in a mini don't work, they foul very quickly, and don't run hot enough.

I've tried all sorts, and I always come back to the BP6ES and BPR6ES.... pound for pound the best plug on the market IMO.

I read similar yesterday on calvers website regards these new type plugs, silicone leads that they are not really needed on a mini, more for turbo engine cars.
He recommended Ngk everytime as guessworks mentioned.
