So thread revival to prove that Im still going to eventually finish this car 😡.

So not long after my last post this year has gone down hill. Ive had no motivation to do anything on the car. After losing one of my best friends, that sadly took his own life. everything got put on hold and I started to go out more and enjoy life.

I have also sold my GTI



That was a sad day. But I then also bought this



And modified it to now run 240 bhp for now haha. Im moving house in a week then after that I will have time to get back to working on the mini. According to my misses I need to finish it so that when she passes her test she can have the fiST. Im not agreeing with her on that one.

My Mini is now overdue an MOT - this year has flown by since she had her first MOT since the restoration. Need to fit a new water pump first though but before that I need to finish the mini man cave that I started building in July - nearly there.....

I know tell me about it. Last time I touched the car was in Feb. Ive made some decisions about the interior that will help me get on quicker to start getting that back in. I still need to repaint the front but that can wait till its warmer.

Some positives came out of losing my friend though. I met an old friend from college and now Im moving in with her next week. Crazy to think we hadnt spoke in 9 years and now we are talking about how to decorate a house hahaha

Holy thread revival hahaha. Hoping to actually be back on the mini very soon. The car will be getting moved to a new home closer to where I’m living and then should be getting closer to completion.

In the mean time I have been messing with this instead. Got to love having 240bhp as a daily

I've spent ages reading this whole thread, thinking it started ages ago so should get to see finished article. I feel cheated, also a little less annoyed that I've spent more time welding up my mistakes that fixing what I started. Hoping I don't need to strip back to metal as much as you. Hope to see it finished soon.
