Sounds like a pragmatic approach. Keep at it. My 6 year resto is finally on the road but still have cosmetics to finish. Too cold at the mo. Luckily I managed to get the last of the painting finished before the weather became too bad.
Get it rolling and you will have reached an important milestone 😁
It's such an annoying thing but won't take me long at all to do once the weather gets better again. I now just need to take a bit of time and actually get the rear suspension fitted that will be a big mile stone

Last weekend I looked at striping my old rear subframe. During this I was looking over my trailing arms to see if they needed a rebuild. Well they did and the pins were really bad.
This morning that box arrived.
So because I'm lazy and want to just get in with things I decided to order some reconditioned ones.
After cutting off the cup, I know everyone will hate me now lol, it's necessary to do this with the rear beam otherwise they don't even go level.
Had to alter part of the beam so it will fit onto the car. Also parts of the powder coat had chipped so decided to paint it in stonechip.
While all the paint was drying on the arms and beam I set about doing something now that will make things easier later on.
I undersealed the entire boot floor. Put it all on with a brush and then went over it with a roller so it has an even texture. Really love how it looks. Leaving it to dry out about overnight and will then fit the beam arms and coilovers on tomorrow. Going to buy new back plates when I get paid along with new bearings for the rear hubs that I just need to clean up of rust and paint.

Good to see you back on it James
Out of interest, how much were the recon arms? I'm sure mine will be knackered when I strip my subframe

£150. £100 for the arms and a £50 surcharge. Should send my old ones back and get some money back
