So still progressing even though it's stupidly slow.
Back end body filler finished
Also re primed the waist rail and B post ready to just quick rub down and throw some colour out of a can on them. Just need to try my best not to scratch them when putting the car back in. Got a few bits to finish on the passenger side then get the primer on. It's taking so much time up but at least it will be right
All this takes time but is all worth it in the end dude when the get that nice smooth finish at the end.
I know, just taking its time but it's definitely better than the last time I did the things. Aiming to finish rubbing down over the weekend then hopefully primer Monday all being good
Trouble is with bodywork until the top coat is on it's difficult to see anything for all your efforts it's very time consuming and you end up with most the filler on the floor, you are getting there though now
As my original arches were thin and not shaped very well I decided to buy some new ones from the arc angels. While I was at it thought I should buy bumpers too. The bumpers come with mounting brackets but won't be used so they need to be cut off.
Got the arches fitted up. Now as I hadn't used these first the holes are a bit out. Got that sorted though but in the mean time because these are a lot thicker and less flexible the passenger rear cracked a little. Fixed the issue by drilling new holes in the rear valance. The old ones will be plugged up with blanking plugs as cannot be bothered to weld them up. Plus would give me access to be able to spray waxoyl in the enclosed valance sections.
Cut the crack out so will just put a bit of fibreglass filler then skim of dolphin glaze.
Test fitted the rear bumper. Needs to be trimmed a little but cannot wait to make brackets and fit them for final.
Then finished the day with a small steak
And super noodles .
Will finish fitting the drivers front arch in the morning and then carry on with the body filler
So all the body filler is finished and then this happened
So after that happened on one day then on another day other things happened and the other thing was this.
I literally ran out of time to get the last coat on. So this has 5 coats on and everything else has 6 on so will add one more hopefully tomorrow.
Always worried about getting these bits smooth but now with primer on I'm happy. Along with this I tried something else out.
Now this really shouldn't work at all as its been sitting outside in the rain, snow, heat, dog probably pee'd on it a lot over the past year and a bit. So I was very surprised it started up and the motor bearing don't grind or anything. Only left it out side as I wasn't going to use it at all and decide I might as well as it will be cheaper to replace the matrix and clean up and re paint the case than buy a small heater and make up mounting points. Plus it's only going to but used as a heater and not to demist the windscreen as using a heated one.
Going to finish the last coat and then get started on rubbing down and hopefully move onto colour Sunday/Monday feel excited again now
All for now

Haha yeah only because by the time I had done the drivers side that's what it was at lol. Plus wanted that extra safety net for rubbing down. I'm currently rubbing down and it's been good for the fact that I haven't gone through yet. Doors, bonnet and boot lid will get sensible amounts. How many layers of colour is the norm ?
