Thank the 7 gods you are back at it

I know I needed a good break away from it. Needed to be able to look at other people build threads and get excited to have mine finished. That feeling has come back now so should be good especially now I have a better plan of attack

Right finnaly which seems to have taken absolutely ages. The driver side body filler is done.

F57A7FC5-1728-4F15-8B15-9F446413D260_zps

Filled over the top of the A panel I know it's not factory but i welded it across the top for strength. Since removing the old filler and exposing the welds I used a burr to make it indented and then filled it do its not curved but has a bit of a dint like the door skin.

Filler all up the post to hide plug welds and the seam used a small amount to and built it up to the metal edge so it's level but should allow movement

The drivers side needed more work last time than the passenger side. I tweaked a few places this time so a bit more filler was used might as well get the panel as straight as possible.

Painted the outer sill in stone chip. Going to leave this to dry over night and then hopefully tomorrow I will re mask off the roof and then mask the rest of the car including the outer sill this time and then get this side in primer as well or at least Monday morning. Will then move on to finishing the front, then will do the rear before moving into the passenger side. I would also like to say that Upol dolphin glaze is awesome stuff and has made getting the filler in rear quarter Windows smooth at least I know that il be able to finish everything else off quicker than this side. Really need the shell painted now as my completion date is getting moved back already.

I guess they did lol, I'm just hoping the paint doesn't split this time hence why I'm doing it in sections

You're progressing forward, all that matters in the grand scheme of things.

I'm sure it'll look great when its completed.

Probably best way, then if you do get a reaction you don't have to start over again

So a big step in the right direction and without any issues apart from it taking time to re dress the garage again.

So since I finished the body filler and outer sill off I though it was time to just get some primer on.

Got the car all masked off and just left the drivers side. Wish I had done it this way in th first place so much easier I guess you live and learn though.

First coat went on which I did thin and so you could still see the green colour of the dolphin glaze through the grey.

F6BAE8E1-B0D6-44C3-9A09-8D421EBD491B_zps

Second coat on and could still slightly see some of the filler through but nothing major and I went about thicker with this one.

5EC58254-43E9-47DB-B1D8-D4DC10CC48A8_zps

The third coat went on and I did this one more of a wet coat but didn't over do it. Last time I saw bits in corners and on the panel and put more paint on it where as this time I told my self to stop as the next coat will cover it.

Only issues I have this time is a bit of filler needs blending in and I need to add a tiny tiny bit of dolphin glaze to a couple of areas. I will address those issues and then add two more coats then move onto the front of the car which won't take long at all most of it is already done. Will sort passenger side and then rear after that. Will then rub the car down as a whole then do the bits of seam sealer over the primer then start again in the same order for the colour. I'm glad I'm using a solid colour otherwise think it would have been harder .

All for now
