The whole shell was put in zinc primer first
Also put bits of stone chip on high traffic areas. Really wish I hadn't now as you will see why.
So after leaving the stone chip and zinc primers to dry over night I decided to get on with the high build primer. This lead me to a lot of stress.
So yes I got some splitting going on. The worst places were on the outer sills, bottom of the front panel and rear valance. These were areas that got painted a very long time ago but hadn't seemed to have dried out properly. I had no clue why and what was really weird is panel wipe made the stone chip go soft and sticky. Obviously the reason why the paint split.
After trying to sand it down till the paint was hard and panel wipe wouldn't soften it I tried again and it still split. So decided to strip all the stone chip off the affected areas and start with bare metal and try again. In doing so this happened
Let's say polyabrasive disc on a grinder + shorts = 6 stitches.
After I have now finally removed all traces of stonechip, which came off easily with thinners ( kinda wish I had tried that first ) the car was then primed on the areas that were stripped back and it hasn't split. After work tonight I will rub down the little bits of runs and feather in the paint edges ready to put another 4 coats of primer the whole car tomorrow.
Also got my brake bias gauges waited ages for it to be in stock. Can finish the dash off fully now
All for now

Grinders can be dangerous and when they bite it hurts, could of been worse I bought some fire retardant trousers and always where them when in the garage as in the past when using cutting discs have had my normal trousers set on fire. Hopefully you will be back to normal soon. Looking forward to updates
I have welding jump suits that I usually wear just. It was warm and I was already stressed so was in a rush. Was totally my fault. It being in colour will be a massive step. Will mean I can start with all the little bits and pieces then

Anyway please don't take this the wrong way but I'm sure it's the zinc primer causing you reactions is it weld thru primer if so this really don't stick well to bare metal as I found out and ended up buying some quality etch primer.
I usually etch prime then high build prime.

Thank you for following. Leg wasn't to bad
I won't take anything the wrong way when it's helpful. The zinc has been ok actually. The roof was coated in it before the high build and didn't get issues. Some of the areas I used zinc on didn't wipe away with the thinners and had to really sand it off. Stuff like on the door steps, outer sills, front panel and rear valance only had the stone chip on and they were the worst of the reactions. Zinc primer on the rest of the car was also fine with the high build over the top. The roof was literally bare metal then keyed up with like a medium sanding sponge then zinc primed, high build and colour that was painted about a month ago now with no issues. With the stone chip it was like all the solvent hadnt evaporated properly. It only seemed to be those areas as well I painted the inside of the engine bay and boot over the top of stonechip fine so not sure why lol
