As long as thats without subframes or interior, 4 people can lift no problem at all.

Thank you very much, if that is the case then the rest is easier than I was thinking. I can get the Bodyshop blokes to lift it on. All I need to do now is find and enrol four large youths from the town to lift it up, while I drive away with the trailer, come back and slide a pallet with a Castor on each corner underneath, Job done. I was having nightmares about this. Again many thanks.

The boot aperture is good at the back, top of the door aperture maybe at the front?

when i picked mine up from the paint shop i had a pallet with carpet wrapped over it, it had doors boot and bonnet fitted but no glass, 4 people could pick it up and put it on there but more the merrier,
when i strap it down , i bolted on the front top shock mounts and the rear hill board mounts and strpped it down off that so no straps were on the paint work at all. did not move at all, ( use ratchet straps )
to lift it off i put 2 4X2 through the front and rear windscreen apertures and lifted it up my 2 post lift. ha ha
rolled the trailer out and dropped it down onto a trolley with the same pallet on top

There was a guy on ebay selling foldable/collapsable trailors couple of years back but seems to have stopped. All the legwork was done so once delivered all you was doing was pretty much bolting it together following the plans, few parts you needed to get welded but it was manageable, not for everyone but doable
Not sure on the legalities as it was on ebay...but I'm sure it would hold up!
Having a foldable/collapsable trailor that you may or may not use once a year does come in handy if you have the space
If someone has the room then anybody know if you can fit a mini on a smart car trailor? It looks close even though the overall length difference is 500mm and wheelbase difference is 200mm, going by wiki though...

Were they car transporter trailers kam?
ETA:
No you cant get a mini on a smart trailer, 2 reasons:
- SLIGHTLY too short
- The balance point is VERY different.

I pity the kids who have to take a test to get the entitlement.

One thing that has not been mentioned. Are you entitled to tow a braked trailer.
I pity the kids who have to take a test to get the entitlement.
The braked trailer thing is hard to get your head around. On a category B licence you can tow a trailer but the combination can't be more than 3.5 tonnes and the car has to be heavier than the trailer.

I think what he meant was you can't get a mini on a smart trailer safely
That ad just says they have trailers for any car

Sorry your technical lingo has confused me, you need to keep it simple with me
If you mean as in A frame trailers with just the back wheels on the ground then no
All the wheels off the floor then yeah, main thing was it was collapsable so could be stored away relativity easy, I couldn't weld at the time so didn't get one, regret that now

Yes kam, the a-frame thing is a "Dolly" and not what I was on about, these cannot legally be used to pull a car in anything other than emergency / recovery situations (unless you can find a way to activate the car's rear brakes...)
Do you happen to remember what sort of price range these kits were in? were they braked?

Yepp, if you manage to work out the legalities, it's surprising how much you can tow! One of the reasons I've still got my 4x4 as I can get away with towing a fair bit!

Ahh sorry can't remember if they were braked, I didn't really know anything about trailers at the time so wouldn't have known about that
Price was around 500 I think, having it powder coated was extra
I didn't understand why you would have him powder coat it for you as when you receive it you still needed to weld some parts together?
