Both of my subframes are now bare, sheared bolts have been removed and apart from surface rust in places are in good condition. I want to have them blasted so I can Electrox / etch weld them and then paint. Wire brushes in angle grinders and power drills can't get into the corners properly.

Has anyone used a blaster near the Watford area? I've looked through the forum and can't find anyone. There aren't many advertising in the local area and I'd like to use someone that's recommended.

I can't help, but I would make sure your subframes are clean and all the dirt is out of the corners,I had my front one done the other day and there was still dirt in the corners so didn't get blasted.

Chiltern blast in Hemel Hempstead are good for blasting and powder coating,I've had a few things done there.

Thanks Peter, they were the only one I could find that wasn't too far away. I'll give them a call shortly.

In the end I used HPC in Hemel Hempstead. I got to the industrial estate full of small units, asked someone for directions and got sent to a different firm without realising it. They turned them round in a few days for a good price.
