Looking really good you would never think it was that rusty from how it looked

It was full of filler when I bought it 5 years ago! My dad just tarted it up to be my first car but as I learned about car bodywork at college it all became apparent ! That's the trouble with minis they can hide allot of dodgy repairs and rust. I know this shell was bad but I would have to do the same on any other! Cheers mate!!!

Not a project for the fainthearted! I guess it helps that you work in a bodyshop - I wish my
shell was coming on so quickly - they've had it for six months!
A great job that will no doubt give confidence to others to tackle slightly easier repairs - what is the style of the finished car going to be?

Well panel replacement really dosent take too long it's the filler work and rubbing down after that takes the time ! 6 months is a long time for a body shop mate ! Just keep pestering them about it ;)
The car is going to be a retro racer so 10" wheels, mk1 bumpers, mk1 rear lights and a nice 1310 engine. Thanks for the positive feedback buddy!

I'm going with a big change in color due to the fact I don't want to be that boy racer anymore! It's going smoke grey and old English white! ;)

Right update !

Yeh all I need to do now is sort out boot/valence then flip it seam weld all the inside up the back over to paint the underside. Also 1 door needs a skin I believe! Vans still here I will get on it when this is done :)
