Update!
Been trying to build my rear subframe these couple days. Had to make an order with dsn as I was missing vital components!!!

Tonight I primed the bonnet again and painted my rear cones.


Also scotched up some parts and clear coated them. This is only to protect them from deteriorating!

My bits arrived from dsn so I been working away at the subframe. Alloy hub covers, alloy trunnions, allot handbrake quadrants and braided lines!

Got it all built. May look to clean but all threads are greased correctly so things don't seize up!


Then got my brother out to give me a hand putting it on.


Made a mistake with my test fitting of the old frame and the new one ended up touching the boot floor in one area. Had to remove and adjust the edge with a hammer and tap the boot floor up. So now the boot floor needs painting again but that should be easy enough! I will get the shell turned back over asap

Will be run inside the car mate! Hence why I have no tabs on the floor to hold them :)

Done a little bit of work towards getting the front subframe built but have encountered some missing parts ! First thing I sorted was painting the bottom arms, tie rods and cones as the coating they come in doesn't look like it would last.

Here's some pics of as far as I have got. Couldn't put tie rods on as I'm missing the bushes!


Hubs still need to be built up but I need to order a load of stuff to complete them. So I have made a frame to rest from of mini on whilst I wait to finish the front frame.

She will get turned over in the week sometime when I get some people over to help!

Just read this thread over the last few days, top work! As others have said, I am now wishing I'd purchased the complete floor! Very tidy. Maybe for the next one I do! Look forward to seeing it completed!
