Great work and love the colour! Are you using cellulose?

Cheers mate using 2k solid colour prefer it over cellulose. :)

I'm torn between the shine/durability of 2K and the classic look of cellulose paint. Needless to say the 2K really shows good results

That is the trouble! I just avoid cellulose due to having issues with reaction in the past and the need to polish it allot to get a good shine! My dad still uses it allot on motorbikes he restores.

2K would be a no brainer for me if it wasn't for the health risks and stopping the fumes escaping the garage

Well a good air fed mask will sort that problem! You shouldn't have issues with fumes unless you live in main central town/city? Most body shops just extract it out into the atmosphere anyway.

Got the air fed mask already. We have a lot of tree coverage so any fume probably won't clear as quickly as needed

Tonight I started rubbing down the boot and engine bay! Filled a couple pin holes in the boot and gone through to bare metal in engine bay so I'm thinking of wet on wet painting them. Need to pop to suppliers tomorrow for more sealer and some 500 da discs!

Any paint fumes will kill you! Cellulose is way worse than 2k thats why they stoped using it like 20years ago in body shops! Even water based paints now are still bad for you thats the hole idear of a air fed mask.

This is a great build, and I'm enjoying watching how quickly it seems to be coming together!  Keep it up!

Me and my mate made a discovery today ! At the bottom of one of his fields.
B52CEEC8-5627-4324-8553-41315349E569_zps
Very early mk1 mini van completely rotted out and squashed by the crap on top! Tried to find the vin plate and number plates but all rotted away :(
When I got home we took the mini outside so I could clean up around it.

Then flipped it over and put it back in.

I will start rubbing it down ready for primer tomorrow!!! :)
