Nice work on the painting.

I know all too well how hard it is to paint inside there.

Engine bay's are surprisingly tricky too.

Keep it up!

Ben

Awesome work, it is the best feeling when some primer and paint starts going on it feels like you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel...

So I have had a very busy 2 days and I'm hurting ! But is all worth it in the long run. Started prepping the doors for primer and found allot of dents ! So all day Saturday and Sunday morning I was rubbing down.

once the filler was done I gave them one last test fit to make sure I was happy with my gaps !
EC873761-709B-43D1-A5D4-E5FCCDDF2773_zps
I made up some frames to hang the doors from the shed roof so both sides could be primed.

First off I etch primed them!

Then went on 4 coats of high build primer!

So next up on my list of jobs is the bonnet and boot prep for primer. Wish me luck !!!! 😝🔫

Right got the bonnet on today and forgot how bad it fitted XD. I had already widened it on the p/s along time ago but the d/s was just as bad plus the front edge wasn't remotely lined up with the front panel.
500124A5-16AC-4A41-9D9B-38CC9FE0DF05_zps
So first thing I did was make sure the rear gap was even then began pushing and bending to get the front edge right. I had to cut a couple slots in the sides so that the front edge could curve in better.

Once I sorted that I had to widen the bonnet on the d/s. Started by slotting the bonnet along the edge
4F5E0AEC-5BB2-4EF5-9B51-7D1CB4D716E7_zps
Used a welding rod to make up the gap and began tacking it along slowly to avoid distortion.

The gap is still slightly big but due to my wings being non-gen And not being in tight enough I'm going to have to live with it. I'm sure after a skim of filler/fiberglass it will look better !
FB80EAF9-5D37-4CCF-A2EC-C456CDCF7F43_zps
I can't start rubbing it down yet as I have run out of 80s !!
