Sadly I think the Kawasaki green is now a bit overdone on minis! There's a guy local to me who's made a recreation of how this used to look!!! So no I'm going with smoke grey with a OEW roof and black arches. Then hopefully as I plan to never sell it I won't grow out of the colour! :)

Yeah i would have to agree with you there, the mini scene is going back to very retro look cars, so that will be a great colour choice i am looking forward to seeing this one, are you keep the van grill or swapping out for a nice mk1 grill?

Mk1 grill is going on ! I cut the van grill out a while back because it was a bit crusty and was Easyier to get rid than clean it up ! Haha should be good !!!
Been working on the boot again tonight more fillerwork slowly getting there.
Spent £200 on materials today so all set for some painting ! Picking up topcoat tomorrow another £200 I expect!!! Better be worth it

Looks like primer in the pic but it's not lol
Spent 3 more hours prepping the boot tonight then masked it up and etch primed it first.
Let that go off and gave it 3 coats of high build. I didn't realise it was so hard to paint inside a mini boot!
Next up is the inside to be primed!!! Then I can get some sealer and top coat on the insides.

Great work, I ended up doing the same as you've done welding up the bulkhead holes that aren't needed. I know what you mean when you say it looks like primer by the colour, after I painted mine smoke grey people used to say so whats the final colour going to be

I suppose there's extra holes for different models with extras and stuff like that. It's a weird colour really looks blueish in real life but when you take a pic it looks just like primer XD hopefully when it's on the car and polished up it will look better! Thanks for the positive comment mate!!! :)
