First I ground down the welds on the tub
Then it was time to fill that gap so made a patch
Welded in and ground smooth
Then I flipped the shell back onto its bottom and sorted out the welds on the top and ground down the edge to the correct width !
So both sides are now tubbed that's one big job out of the way. The Valence is my next big job to sort out. Plus all the welds in the boot need grinding down but I think I'm going to buy a belt sander to do this
Some of you may have noticed the big hole on the rear seat panel. This needs a peice making up as I previously miged up a couple holes but wasn't pleased with them so cut the lot out XD. I hope to be doing filler work next week in the evenings !

Big mile stone, so is it the valance and clean welds up and the back welded up then?
Yeh going to tackle the valence tomorrow hopefully but got some bits to paint for someone first :/

These took allot of fettling to get fitting correctly but we got there in the end. So then I drilled all the holes in the valence for plug welding and gave it a coat of paint on the edges. Clamped it on fitted surprisingly good being Non genuine.
Then started welding !
Looks good from the side !

A quick question. Did you weld the part that curves up the inside of the valance ?
I was going to but I think I'm going to leave it as I can just imagine burning off the paint when welding can only make the rust come back quicker ! Going to tap them close and panel bond the gap I think!
