Right as progress had come to a standstill with my van I decided it's time to sort out my first car. My friend has been building a nice 1330 engine for it so the shell needs to be sorted !
So this is how it looked at the back of the poly tunnel

We then stripped it and rolled it onto its roof using roof bars !

You can see we braced it up and didn't hang around ! Got the p/s floor cut out and have decided it's going to have a full floor to make things easier. It needs to be nice and strong but look solid at the same time as it will be stripped out inside.

Here you can seen the nasty oversills that caused most of the rot

That's all for now ! Hopefully this will move along quite quick as I want it on the road this year!

Yep nasty oversils fitted by the previous owner! It's quite bad this shell but as it was my first car I need to fix it up :)

Same look but how I always wanted it. Full roll cage, special 10x7 split rims, mk1 bumpers front and back and a nice tuned up 1330 !!! :)

It's this car that made me want to get another one. Used to see it parked on the road down into wooly when I was dropping boards off to the shops.
There's another one the same colour that I see in barny from time to time.

I'm glad I was good inspiration ! XD i have seen the other copy cat in barny too! I think he's painted far to much green needs a bit of black to split it up.

Right full floor is ordered! Time for more bracing and the rest of the floor to be cut out ! im very excited !!!

Update! Right done some cleaning up tonight found more and more bodges and rust. I'm glad I have ordered new toe board and heel board as the are both totally rotten! Here's some pics.
Cleaned up all around the toe board to find all the spot welds holding it in place

Here is the patched up inner wing/a post!

Here you can see the d/s bodges !!! It's all just layered on top of the other bits XD

That's all for tonight ! I'm trying to get an hour on the car as often as I can ! Hopefully I can start welding once my panels alive.
