I'd be looking to use that not store it! At least drive it before it rusts away!

Rather tatty for a low mileage car. Must have been neglected
That's assuming the mileage is correct

Properly stored, it won't rust away. It's all about relative humidity and rate of temperature change - that's what causes condensation
Some pics of inside of the boot

Lots to do there Pete. I'm amazed what they managed to squeeze into a Mini. Didn't realise that the water bottle was in the boot on these cars.

Maybe domdee but with old cars it can be hard to tell. I bought an 87' Opel Manta a few years ago with 24K on the clock. The bolsters on the fabric Recaro seats were mint so that was a good indication but with leather..... it can be hard to tell. The carpets show no signs of wear but who knows?
They had to put the washer bottle in the boot to shoehorn all the gubbins in the engine bay Jase. A feature I'm keeping on the 998 build Engine bay won't be cluttered on that

Check the MOT history http://motinfo.direc...ory-Request.jsp to see if the mileage is consistent throughout?

Definitely looks like it's had a hard life considering the mileage but it will be amazing once restored. And it's Tahiti Blue, which makes it even cooler.

Just shows you, different perspectives and all that. If that was a scottish car I would say it was in excellent condition for it's age. I know someone who acquired a cooper sport just like this one, and it was rotten everywhere. He had to do ALOT of welding on that car! Maybe I'm short sighted, but I can't see the 1st digit on the speedo to figure the mileage ...

Good linky that Thanks. I will check it when I get the log book back (showing my age here lol)

I thought exactly the same, the clock says 13K and at 14 years old, I thought it looked in pretty good condition bodywork wise. My 98 Mpi shell was a right mess.
Nothing left of the original shell by the time I had finished.......
I'm sure this Sport would be a fraction of the work to fettle it up
