Has anyone else noticed the ceramic centre of their spark plugs go bright red when using this stuff or is it the bp ultimate that I'm using that might be causing it.

I've used Castrol valve master plus octane booster for years, not in a daily driver though

Hi all,

Glad to hear good things about this additive. I've not got hardened unleaded seats in my head so I bought a bottle of this off eBay, not got the engine running yet though.

Just to let you know though I bought the 500ml Multishot bottle, it's more concentrated and treats upto 500 litres, so it's cheaper per tank.

I ran a range of all these additives in my 1275 GT when i was using it daily, as well as always using shell V power. I was nowhere near the compression of you lot as it was a pretty much standard motor, but I personally preferred the castrol Valve master +octane. Just felt better to me.

As a side note.

These additives don't work if you're using them for their lead additive properties though and intend on actually using the car.

Ultimately after a Year of use with a leaded head this was the outcome.
