I did, but having a close look at the pictures the foam looks a bit to 'thick', more towards styrofoam than the soft stuff (looking at the way the holes have curved edges sloping inwards). I had a look at the Minispares one before I bought it and it had nice clean edges and felt 'right'

I had a look at one of those at Bingley, I was impressed at the quality or the foam material. I think you've gone the right way, JQ.
Minispares or Smiffys? I love smiths other bits

Not much to report this week, too damn cold to go int he garage!
I have however braved the elements today. Got the rear subframe back off and stripped ready for hopefully spining the shell over next week:
Still lots to tody up underneath...
I hadn't finishe the rear half, so went from this:
to this:
I then ran a bead of weld between the floor and arch:
Thats it for now. WIll get the rest of the small parts off the shell and will hopefully get it turned upside down next weekend!
Eek!

Well as its warmed up a bit, i got a little bit done. Managed to get some filler on the rear C panel join:
I had some left over so added some more:
I know neither of these will be seen, but I wanted to smooth them out. I know the arch support bracket will anoy me if it doesn't look perfect!
I also gave the rear subframe mounts a clean and paint:

Again, slow with the updates... Kinda loosing my patience with this build. Just completely skint at the moment so can't afford to work on it
I did manage to clean up the steering rack, repaint and put some new boots on. The rack is only a few years old, so confident its fine.

Did you ever get it rolled over James?

No, not yet I only want to do it once, so am looking into completely finishing the floor (including the underseal) before rolling it back over. Lack of funds is also halted progress
