The absolute best are the PIAA 80 Rally Range which come in both long range spot & driving versions. the best for a Mini, with its limited maximum speed would be the Driving version and I've used them on my rally 'S'. However, you only need 2 extra lights when you fit these, especially if you fit 100 watt bulbs.

These are PIAA 80 Driving Lights on the 'S': it would be difficult (and unnecessary) to fit 4 across the front.

Second choice would be the Cibie Super-Oscar driving lights or the Lucas 7" SLR700 with halogen bulbs.

It also depends on the regulations where you are, 100w bulbs are illegal for road use here.

I was thinking something like this: http://www.minisport...lamps-pair.html

Do you think it would turn up good?

On a road car I think personal preference also plays a big part in what you buy, so opinions will vary. I decided to buy a set of Hella Comet 500's.

I was asked which aux. lights are the best, but they are too big, so the best (PIAA 80 or Super Oscar)) is not what is wanted!

The problem with the smaller lights is that their range is no greater than a decent headlight so they are of no advantage, except for show. If for show the best are not needed as they won't be required to actually do anything.

Is it for cosmetics? Or for real usage? I use 4 wipacs and they are awesome, but then again I never drive a rally in the dark.

If your lights are a bit bouncy I suggest you either beef up the brackets or fit stays, lights not secure and bounce about are annoying
