Auto glym bodywork shampoo and conditioner :)

I bought a big set and replace the ones I used a lot with bigger bottles.

Never use washing up liquid as it removes and paint protection :)

Chemical Guys (Citrus). I find Autoglym shampoo awful. There's virtually no suds and Fairy liquid is not a good idea. Not that I've done any research, but heard from various sources that it contains salt.

Head & Shoulders is fine as my everyday shampoo.

Good car shampoos don't sud, it's there to cut grease and grime. You get all the suds and bubbles when you pre wash the car with snow foam.

Turtle wax or auto glym. I heard that you shouldn't use washing up liquid too.

Looks like Auto glym and Meguiars are the most popular

I use turtle wax, bought a 5l tub about ten years ago and still using it!

You're not washing your car enough then!

You shouldn't. It contains large amounts of salt that attacks lacquer, strips all precious wax protection and dulls the finish.

And of course it gets trapped behind all the seals, brightwork and trim nomatter how much you rinse, leaving salt behind when it dries and leading to increased corrosion.

I disagree about the suds. Granted, it may (or may not) scientifically help, but it helps you identify where you've cleaned and we've become accustomed to seeing suds. It just doesn't seem right if they're not there. It would be like washing your dishes with no suds or having no foam when you brush your teeth.

I'll have you know that my car gets washed regularly - once a year in March whether it needs it or not.

Bilt-Hamber Auto Wash for me.

Then again I've got loads of Bilt-Hamber stuff, not that I'm a fan or anything!

Can't get used to it being a teaspoon of the stuff for a bucket of water though!  Works brilliantly mind you.
