Chuffed for you that it’s almost done. Looks really good and will be very exciting to see what the engine and turbo are capable of in terms of perofmance once run in.
Thanks Dave! I'll be glad to just run her in and get an MOT!
Bit of a delay, went for insurance through Lancaster, and the robbing <ahem> have charged my account more than agreed.. Fuming.

Just as you feel you're getting somewhere, the weather decides to turn against you I've done 86 miles on Felix now but haven't managed anything since last month due to the rain and a few small niggling issues. As most of you will appreciate, building a car from the bare bones back up again can sometimes raise a few bedding in issues. One of the ones i've been fighting is a coolant leak. The joiners between the coolant pipework in the engine bay and those of the heater matrix have let go a few times now, one when being mapped. This was originally fixed with a new pipe joiner from a plumbing hardware store, but unfortunately couldn't take the pressure of the jubilee clip
This inevitable let go again and poured coolant in the engine bay I've ordered 2 brass versions and am hoping that will be the end of that! My new protech shocks arrived too!
Comparison vs standard length
To prevent the knocking, i had to raise the suspension so the hilo wouldn't fall or rattle in the cone when going over a bump.
Once fitted, i set the rear suspension to a height that gave enough room for travel and adjust 5 clicks from soft - no rubbing or knocking
Also after an issue with one of the spot light covers, i sent them back to rimmerbros and recieved my replacements the other day
That's about it until the weather improves and I can do more running in! I will try and remember to take the gopro with me next time!

Fuel injection in the bin, and fit a carb.
Nothing worth having is ever straight forward.

The dreaded time has arrived, MOT day!
Results? Well.. at first a fail, on headlight alignment and steering arm lose (which was concerning!) Emissions were lower than when it has the MPi system on it! All sorted and passed.
Allignment took most of the day as it was so far out, it was barely registering. It took a few goes to get it to spot on!
All in all, a 12 month ticket and fully aligned! On the way home, i wound the boost up a bit and got clutch clip I had a feeling this may happen for one of two reasons - either the leak from the primary oil seal has got so bad that it is now on the clutch plate, or it is not up to the task of the extra power. Anyway, ordered the race plate from Minispares and the Guessworks puller this evening, so hopefully will have that sorted next week as I have a mapping session on the 6th of Apr!!!
