That's looking good.

I was thinking of alcantara headlining too, yours is the first one I've seen done on a mini.

Where did you get it made?

Thanks Paul

How did you get it off the Luton? Did it fit on the tail lift sideways?

No chance! I used the ramps I put it on the first van with. My mum acted as a brake for it coming down and I steered/held it back from the van. Was quite straight forward!

Well that gives me what I was looking for tonight :highfive:

I have a cream headliner from DSN which I unpacked today to see what its like, not really a fan...  The white perforated one from Optimised Automotive looks really nice!

Got cracking on with the car today. One of the most fiddly jobs I've done, but finally got the central locking wires through to the door grommet!

Steering rack on!

QCr8Un2.jpg

Wheel arches on! Although one isn't sitting correctly so going to have to do some work with a hot air gun

RmvBxnr.jpg

Bonnet seal on. This took a bit of fabricating to get it a perfect bend, but got there in the end!

And front subframe built up! But thanks to Shifty for lending me his cone compressor! Decided to bin the standard lower arm bushes as frankly they're a crap design and going for a set of offset poly.

Before I can proceed, I need my Dynax UC delivery to arrive as have some areas I want to do before they're covered with a great lump of subframe! Then sound deadening :)

Some quick progress. Looking good.
Have you used the dynax stuff before? Is it good for inside inner sills etc or is it just for underneath?
How many cans do you use?
Thanks

First time using S50. Very easy to use and it gets everywhere!! Ideal for inner sills as it comes with a lance to feed in to the hard tdrive reach areas. I've got one can at the moment and I've done both subframes, steering rack mount, under the bulkhead box, inside rear and front valances and rear companion bins.

I thought you should put the brake and fuel lines on before the rack?

Lovely work may I say and thank you for sharing.

It takes time and patience to load piccy's up for everyone to see and it appears it's paid off in dividends regarding your fuel lines.

Good luck with the rest of the assembly.
