Beginning to get a bit of cabin fever in the house, so did a bit of investigating with the drive train. I'd heard mixed things about fitting vented discs, issues with clearances and some not fitting at all due to the flange So gave it a go.
Typically I found there was clearance issues with the steering arm. It wasn't much, but with a quick skim on the forging marks with the lap wheel sorted it
Mocked up the callipers, really really pleased with it.
And a quick email from SMC and the shell will be ready to collect thursday morning!

Wow. How exciting, being able to start bolting all the shiny bits together. Lambswool gloves, and every tool coated in bubble wrap!

I always felt that when the shell was back in paint that i'd be over the hill and on the way to finishing it. However, from previous experience with past projects, its too easy to rush it now! There's a lot still to work out; boost piping, turbo coolant feed, charge cooler piping, wiring etc. But its those bits i really enjoy!
