What exactly is require. Power will be below 100hp so will not need a super duper race spec system, just something for fast road. Any advice? Pictures welcome!

I would also use a suitable pressure regulator for the type of Carb you will be using.

An an inertia switch would be a good idea.

Wow that was quick, thanks all!

You can buy a Facet pump with a 2.5psi output pressure and you wont need a regulator

I would always pump from the tank at a higher pressure than needed and regulate close to the carb. reduces any fueling issues. which can appear when the engine has a bit more power and better grip.

The 2.5psi Facet pump can provide 20gallons a hour which is far more then a road going A Series will need, it just cuts down on having another component inline and that volume of flow in my opinion is well up to the job and has no issue on my 95 bhp which I hope won't ever develop a thirst beyond that

I can get one at the weekend for you. I used a spare metal bracket i had lying around and bolted one end to the the flat bit of the rear subby then mounted the pump on the bit of metal using the rubber bushes. Cut the fuel line and attached one end to the inlet with the filter then the other to the outlet. When I brought the car it had a pump in the boot, not sure what sort it was but it ended up getting knocked around by stuff in the boot and eventually emptied about quater of a tank on to the boot floor! Something to bear in mind if you mount it inside the car.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but what is the benefit of fitting a electric pump over the standard mechanical one from factory?

You do risk fuel pumping on a burning car in case of accident, unless you fit à inertia switch

I came across this installation/wiring guide whilst considering the conversion myself...

Inertia switch sounds like a no brainer to me then!
