so bananaman, have you read the whole post??? lol it's a big one now isn't it!
I think my fave pic is of the finished door and of the boot lid with the WD40 tin reflection in it lol.
I'm gonna have breakfast now and then I'm off to tidy the garage,... had a right kufuffle trying to get my front HI-los installed with that bloody cone comressing tool but it's done now.... but i used nearlt every tool in my box!!! P.S.... i have found that the easiest way to get the plastic cup of the knuckle joint that always gets rusted and stuck in, is to firstprize the sides away gently and spray WD40 down the sides, then set fire to it. i used a small cooking blowtorch slowly the cup will go limp and fall into itself and become a gloopy blob at the bottom of it's slot. then you just get a screwdriver or small chisel and bang it to release it, out it pops. not easy, but definalty more succesful for me than the hot screwdriver method.

Keep up the good work!

Call them and ask to talk to Alan regarding mixing rustoleum. He will colour match any colour you want, and does metallics too. Don't take any notice of the lousy receptionist.

I'm astonished at how good it looks!! Would it be cool to get some close-ups?
yeah that's fine, but the paint's not finished yet so it wont be any good, really the only close ups you want are after it's been cut and polished. this is only 1-2 coats apart from the back and the front of the car, but even they're not finished yet. I have to flat the paint back and then cut it back with paste, then polish it, then wax. there are some close ups in the first few pages of the thread...
one of a bottle of WD40 reflecting in the bonnet. and one of the passenger door, done but not polished.
I will get close ups of the final result, since these are the only important ones lol.
